Baby & Kids Piercing Requirements: What Parents Need to Know

Piercing for babies and children is a serious decision that requires careful consideration, proper preparation, and professional handling. At our studio, safety, hygiene, and comfort are always our top priorities.

Here are the essential requirements and guidelines every parent should understand before getting their child pierced.

1. Parental Consent is Mandatory

For any baby or child piercing, full consent from parents or legal guardians is required. We strongly recommend that both parents are informed and agree with the decision to ensure comfort and confidence throughout the process.

2. Minimum Age Consideration

While baby ear piercing is commonly done at a very young age, we always advise parents to consider the child’s condition. For older kids, it’s important that they are mentally prepared and comfortable with the procedure.

3. Health Condition Must Be Stable

The baby or child must be in good health at the time of piercing. We do not recommend piercing if the child:

  • Has a fever
  • Is currently sick
  • Has skin infections or irritation around the area
  • Has a history of severe allergies (unless discussed beforehand). Safety always comes first
4. Use of Medical-Grade Jewellery

We only use high-quality, safe materials such as implant-grade titanium. This reduces the risk of allergic reactions and ensures better healing. Choosing the right jewellery is one of the most important factors in safe piercing.

5. Sterile & Professional Procedure

All tools used are single-use and sterile. We never compromise on hygiene:

  • Single-use sterile needles
  • Professional setup
  • Clean and controlled environment. This minimizes the risk of infection and ensures a safe experience
6. Proper Aftercare Commitment

Aftercare is just as important as the piercing itself. Parents must be committed to:

  • Cleaning the piercing regularly
  • Avoiding unnecessary touching
  • Monitoring for any signs of irritation. We will provide full aftercare guidance to make sure the healing process goes smoothly.
7. Calm and Supportive Environment

A relaxed environment helps reduce stress for both the child and parents. Our team is trained to handle babies and kids with patience, care, and a gentle approach to make the experience as comfortable as possible.

  • Piercing is not just about aesthetics. it’s about safety, trust, and professionalism. Choosing the right studio makes all the difference in your child’s experience and healing process.
  • If you’re considering piercing for your baby or child, make sure you choose a place that prioritizes hygiene, experience, and high-quality jewellery.
